Monster Pretzel Cookies - Pocketful of Sugar

Set all of your Spring Break dieting aside for just a second. You’re going to want to cheat for just one day with these cookies! They’re loaded with peanut M&M’s, salty pretzels, and yummy white chocolate and they’re seriously irresistible. I called them ‘Monster’ Pretzel Cookies because they really are monstrous. I’m thinking I’ll have to make these again during football season with green M&M’s for Michigan State tailgating. Here’s the recipe for my Monster Pretzel Cookies:

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup sugar

1 cup light brown sugar, packed

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups flour

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

2 cups mini pretzels, broken

1 cup peanut M&M’s

1 cup white chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla until creamy. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually add in the flour to the butter and sugar mixture until well combined.

2. Stir in the broken pretzels, M&M’s and white chocolate chips to the cookie dough. On a parchment lined baking sheet, shape heaping tablespoon sized balls and place the dough balls in the freezer for an hour or so (or until they’re firm to the touch).

3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake the cookies for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool on the pan for about 5 minutes and transfer to a wire rack. Most of all, ENJOY!
